RS3 5500 RPM warning

Just to clarify. The coolant temp only tells you the coolant temp. That doesn't mean the engine is warm enough yet. For that you should check the oil temperature, which I believe is always displayed at the bottom in the VC. The coolant temperature will generally reach operating temperature before the oil is warm enough. Operating temp for the oil is 140F/60C or greater. I believe the rev limiter releases earlier, though. I've never quite figured out the point of this warning. I get a similar thing with my RS5 but it warns not to exceed 6000 rpm and it automatically upshifts at 6000 rpm even in manual mode, until the engine is warm. I got the warning maybe about twice in all of the 5+ years I owned the car. Not sure why it came up those two times. My car is garaged and my garage temp rarely goes below 70F even in the winter. Mild climate here. I reach operating temperate after about a couple of miles on the highway.

In the R8 V10 plus and Huracan it is also 6000 RPMs.
I also rarely sees the 5500 RPMs warning. It is very hot here in the summer. I saw it only after not driving the car for more than 24 hours
Thanks
