RS3 oil change- need a filter wrench or not?
HI All
I'm getting ready for my first DIY oil change on my '18 RS3. I see various references online to a filter wrench tool, but videos that show there is no tool that works other than filter pliers. Is there a good tool to make the filter housing removal easy?
Thanks!

It's disappointing that people do not offer help on this forum. In my view owners' experience is the most useful feature of forums. As a first time Audi owner I have had a generally poor response to simple questions.

I used this . Would recommend, it's hard to get a good grip on the filter housing. Also the canister drain tool part #T40057. Not necessary, but makes removing the filter a lot cleaner.

Following up - used that wrench today and it worked perfectly.
Also a note that the crush washer on the oil drain plug does a very good job of appearing to be part of the oil pan. Don't be fooled. It came off easily once I put a flat bade to it.
