Cross posting from another forum, as I still don't have an answer. I've got an A3 cab without Nav. When I park the car and hit the stop button, the car shuts down completely, even with the door closed. So the radio cuts out, and any phone call I have going reverts to my handset (can't use the car hands free anymore). This means that if I'm on a call when driving, I need to leave the engine running until the call ends (or ask callers to hold on as I switch to handset). Others have reported that their cars stay in ACC until they open the door. But that may be only if you have the Nav option option?

Does anyone know if this is an adjustable setting to get the car to stay in ACC after hitting stop, or otherwise how you can kill the engine but keep all other car systems running?

I thought there is a setting in the MMI to do what you want.

You'd think, right? But either I'm incompetent and can't find it (possible, but I swear I checked every menu), or it isn't there. The non-Nav MMI is a lot more limited then on cars with the Nav option.

On my 2015 (with MMI) I press the start/stop button lightly to turn the engine off but have the radio stay on, or harder to completely shut everything down.
