I recently installed a Injen cold air intake that extends to the bottom of my Audi. I cut out holes in the foglight trim to allow air to circulate. However, I do not hear anything different. I was expecting a little more intake sound and something a little more throaty. But it still quiet, that sucking in air sound I hear on other Audis with similar mods is not balding with mine. Why is this, any thoughts?

No, it isn't. It's open and routes to the bottom. I literally hear nothing different to notice. I feel a slight increase in power but I guess I was expecting more... Maybe?

The way it’s routed is why you don’t hear it much. What kind of noise where you expecting with your setup though?

All the louder ones like my IE one have the filter behind the headlight where you’ll hear the noise more. Also I have the 3.0T so it’s makes the supercharger much more prominent.

Please say you have all your splash shield still under your car.

I do have everything intact for water and splash protection. I also have the water mesh sock on it. I have done installs and such prior. I've done many installs however this is the quietest one. Lol. Next I'll be installing a downpipe. Any suggestions. I am not trying to build s race car just something with some more horses to run a little "better".

How low it is I’d assume is the reason why it’s so quiet. If you haven’t tuned your car yet then you’re spending a lot of $/hp right now.

I'm sending it out to get tuned next week. I just thought it would sound louder.

Get one with a shorter pipe if you want it louder. I’d keep the one you have now since it will be pulling in cooler air then one in the engine bay.

No, I am keeping the one I have. Much cooler air getting pulled in and especially being turbo season, I can feel the difference. I cant wait to get it tuned. This damn turbo lag is killing me.
