I live in NY/NJ area and do have snowy/ice coldish winters from mid Dec to late March. The Car will be a daily driver putting 10,000 miles a year driving into 3 x week NYC and then home. The 2019 will be purchased a 2019 RS5 Misano Red with Gray scitcting. One Dealership said I'd be much better off with snow tires for the winter snow months than All Seasons. Safety. As for getting a smaller wheel he advised it will change the appearance of this beautiful car. Like having "Little Feet" was told to me. I just want to get the top of line for snows next season. Any suggestions? The Audi
RS5 has 20" 5 arm Flag design wheels and tire size is 275/30 Summer.

Tire Rack ranks Michelin Pilot Alpin PS4 number 1.

Consumer Report ranks Yokohama Bluearth Winter V905 number 1.

I have had both and they are both great tires.

This is a good discussion thread for winter wheels & tires.

Winter Tires & Wheels

There are a multitude of these types of discussion threads across the whole forum. At least you have some time to do your research and make an informed decision.

Another option if you don't want to go full snow tires are what are considered "All Weather" tires. They work really well in the winter and you don't give up as much as snows from a performance perspective. Snows can get a little squirmy as it gets warmer. I've had Nokian WR G3 and now G4's on a couple of different cars and they are really good in snow. Just food for thought.

Also depends on where you live. While NorTex has good roads they always have construction and i live in a new subdivision so i also got nail threats. No brainer for me to get mine.
