Transmission code p179c00
Just bought a used 2010 cab 3.0 with 7 speed s tronic. Car had a bunch of codes. Cleared them and p179c00 main pressure valve electrical error remained. Can’t drive the car right now since I’m waiting for my water pump and new radiator to be delivered. P17D800 torque limitation due to clutch temperature was in there as well. The p179c00 is a hard fault and will not clear. Is this related to the Mechatronics wiring? I have dug around on a couple of the forums and haven’t seen any decisive “solved” verdict. I have been through the TSB, looks like it says start with the wiring. Anyone have any advice on this that’s more than, took it to dealer, replaced trans?
Thank in advance

Yes, it ended up just being the wiring. I replaced the entire Mechatronics unit to figure that out, but isolated the problem down to the wiring. I tried to use some cheep replacement, that caused more issues. I should have ordered online from a dealer or ECS.

I think he means this specific Mechatronics wiring "kit" that some suppliers sell individually and also as a package with gaskets and fluid: "Mechatronics Repair Kit (printed circuit foil for valve body) - 0B5398009F"
