Default glove box clips

Ok anyone have a lead on what the plastic clips are for on the inside of the glove box door? The deal thought it was an ipod holder but that would be what the tray is for. So anyone have an idea?

The clip on the right I believe is intended for your emergency key.

The emergency key adapter, which the emergency key fits into (the slender black key). If you don't have it, your dealer forgot to provide it (as mine did).
