Ice silver or Deep sea blue? will Ice silver hide dirt
?
I have a quartz gray allroad and it seems to hide dirt/scratches really well. I am actually very impressed at how clean this car looks in between washes.
I want to go with a different color if I order an S5 but living in Oregon we get a lot of rain and I am not one to wash my cars every few days. more like once every 2-3 weeks.
will Ice silver or deep sea blue be easier colors to keep clean? I had a black car once and will never buy one again. swirls were just too hard to keep clean.
any thoughts on color combos that will be on the easy side to keep clean?

I am getting Ice Silver and thats one of the reasons -- its bright and metallic and hides dirt nicely.
Quartz Gray is great too but to me, its a little on the dull side.
Meteor Gray was another option, but my last car was Dolphin Gray and wanted something a little different.
Wouldnt buy Black or DSB although they look great coz I live in an apartment complex and dont have resources/space to clean myself (although I still do my best)!

^^^Agree. There are always trade-offs. I like DSB because...
...the color is deep enough to look black at night, yet has that rich deep blue that looks great in the sun. It is almost like having two different color cars--well not really, but I think it is nice.
I just accept the fact that it will show dirt, and I will try to wash and dry it with the correct cloths (read: MICROFIBER cloth is your friend, folks) to minimize the swirls. But, in the end, obsession will only drive us to more stress :-) .

Re: Ice silver should be a lot easier to keep. I went with DSB... still waiting.
My DSB arrived yesterday and Im picking it up tomorrow. I'll let you know how it looks clean vs how it looks in a couple of days of non-stop driving.

I have an Ice Silver S5 myself; originally went for Phantom Black but the wait was too long. I also have a black Acura TL and it's night and day maintaining the two cars. This is my 3rd silver car and I find it extremely easy to maintain/keep clean. I've washed it only twice in the 2 months I've had it and it looks normal to the naked eye. Some basic wiping is all I need to do with a microfibre cloth to keep it shiny.
I'm in the same situation as you - with the inclement weather in Toronto, it's hard to keep a car looking great all year round; I find silver (or Quartz Grey) to be a good choice - I don't think you can go wrong with any of the colours the S5 comes in. Go with whatever makes you happy and you life easier.
I'll try to take some night shots of the car at night for you.
