Default Insurance for S5

My insurance bill just came for the 2013 S5. 100/300k lib, coll 500 ded, acv comp, multi-car disc and homeowner disc.

About $1000 a year in Eastern PA. Seem about right? Or do I need to look for another insurance company?

No accidents since 1957.

I live in the Philly burbs and I'm not too far below that amount, so seems good to me.

Seems in line...You can reduce it by taking an online Defensive driving course. It's simple and they mail you a certificate that your insurer honors for 10% off for three years. Use Google and the course is discounted...say $25 to $40.

Also consider an Umbrella policy, it gave us a multi policy discount in addition to the multi-car. Extra coverage and very resonable.

Every state and company is different, so check with your carrier prior to taking that course as it may be for not.

If your insurance company does not discount for DDC, then you really need to look to change. This course is a win/win for both the ins. co and individual taking it. Any reputable (Ameriprise, USAA & The Hartford) ins. co will encourage and discount its use.

I pay $1074 per year for both my S5 and A6 Avant (2 cars).
So, I think around $674 for my S5 and $400 for A6.

I use to pay $900 per year from both my BMW 3 series and A6 Avant.
Then, when I got the S5, insurance jumped from $900 to $1047.

Earlier this month, and my insurance jumped up to more than $1000 year.

Looks like I have to update my sig now.

Man try owning an S5 at 22.

$300 a month - $3600 a year.

100K/300K Body liability, $100K liability, 250 comp. deductible.

Screw the young guys with a clean record right?!

That's the price you have to pay for driving this beast at such a young age.

Pretty sure you haven't established a lengthy credit history either which helps if you have a 740+ FICO or similar insurance score.

Don't even get a speeding ticket, best to invest in a V1 or Passport 9500ix. If it saves you just once, it'll more than pay for itself.
