If one appreciates their money, then depreciation is very important!
Not even so much from a resale aspect, but from the aspect of never being overhead on it, assuming it's financed.
Even if it's bought cash, who wants to spend $80/90k and find out it's worth 50k a year later? I would be nauseous.

The RS5 Sportback is in theory 0.1 sec slower than the Coupe I believe.
