Sorry if this was already covered - My BMW 535 let me turn auto stop off, and it stayed off until I turned it on again. My s5 will go back to the default on state every time I drive the car.

Is there somewhere in settings that allow you to keep it permanently off?

big thanks

No. Not unless you get into reprograming some of the options w/a third party device.

I try a few things on the ride home from work, appearanly, when I take off my seat belt, the parking brakes will not disengage when I step on the gas. I wonder what is Audi’s logic behind that.

When I drove a A3 loaner it'd stop even in the hot AZ weather during the day. However, my S5 never stops during the day. I think the S5 draws more amperage than other models and therefore tends to stop less frequent and for a shorter duration.

“No Seat Belt / No Move!”

More “NannyState” I guess?
