I've fully trained myself to turn off *** immediately after starting the car. I could have included it as a gripe, but deactivating it is second nature. The system in the new A6 is much less intrusive.

The 48V mild-hybrid system is one of the key reasons for the smoothness here. It would be great if Audi adds this to the later year B9 models or possibly B10 otherwise (most likely).

A way to drop the seat backs from the trunk would have been nice. Japanese are rally good with ergonomics.

Hate the fish eye backup camera. The camera on my F-150 is better.

They are: 48V in 6 cylinder models, 12V (as in mild-hybrid) in 4 cylinder models. Already out in the A4 series, mid next year for A5 series.

Careful what you wish for, the A6 55TFSI uses an S tronic transmission with quattro Ultra. The Q8 55 TFSI uses a ZF8HP with real quattro, just like the S5. Seems quite a few don't like the start/stop system at all in an enduring thread in the Q8 forum, although those complaining loudest don't actually seem to have one.

I love the seats, but the non-adjustable headrests were a bad idea and are probably dangerous. A one-size-fits-all is not something that should be used for a safety feature. Not 100% sure how they can legally do it.

You got a source for that?

I wonder why that is. I do not use it all the time, but when I do the A$$ functions as expected. Once the car comes to a complete stop with medium pressure on the brake, the car shuts off. As I am releasing the brake the car starts again before I can move my foot to the accelerator. Seems like a perfect implementation.

Start stop systems have been causing a slew of issues, disable it for best longevity. The 2.9, like every s-line engine before it, has water pump issues that will only become more apparent with time. Audi still has not figured out a way to make a reliable chain setup so there is that. but other then those few things, I am really enjoying the platform across the board.
