@scmorgan Which TSB did they apply, one or both? Can you check on your paperwork and post?

According to the paperwork, they applied TSB 2048517/2. Here's a shot of the paperwork:

I just brought mine in for service today, They knew about the TSB, said it came in this week, and said they'd apply it
However, the paperwork doesn't mention it, and the MMI software version is still 1178. I currently have it on camera view, Will see if it sticks anyway.

Can someone with the fix applied and working please check your version and post it.

EDIT: Not fixed. Top view stuck around for 1 day, then reverted. It appears that they didn't do the update.

Mine is also in for first year service today (only 4500 miles on it), and asked for the 1316 MMI firmware update. They did it, but now the whole MMI is effed up. so they are deep into troubleshooting and consulting Audi HQ. They sent me home with a Q5 loaner, so hopefully they can get this worked out. I haven't heard anyone else having a firmware update problem on this thread before.

Did you note which firmware you had prior to the update? It seems some of the first models produced did not have the problem — it was introduced somewhere along the line and then corrected in the April / May production run?

Tbis is certainly no fault of yours — it should fall on either your service tech or on Audi, as they should have sometime of identification as to what level of firmware has the problem and when to apply the “new” patch.

Good luck and let us know what your outcome is when it’s corrected.

1178, mine was built Nov 2017, delivered last December. I've been following this issue for the last year, and things were looking promising with recent posts. Not sure why there would be an issue with a simple MMI update. They also pulled up the TSB mentioned earlier.

What was your build date? It appears that most are getting updated to 1316 but there are a few of us where they patched the camera module only and kept the MMI at 1178. Mine is an 2018 Q7, Dec 2017 build.

I don't know the build date. Any idea where I can find it?
