Trying to decide if you want an A5 or an S5?

5-60 times are totally different from 0-60 times, since they remove the traction advantage created by controlled launch from a dead stop. The C&D posted 0-60s are all better than audi advertises, especially for the a5 coupe which is a whole .6 sec faster.

Either way they are both great cars and if you feel better buying the A5 that's great. For me the added 12k for the features, slight change in look along with the power and sound was well worth it. Neither car is a super powerful car so if you are looking for a pure sports car you bought the wrong car. If you are looking for a great touring car with decent power then these fit the bill.

i cant explain why it would be the case but I have found my s5 to pull harder in sport automatic mode than when I have it in manual. It doesn't make sense to me but it seems significantly different. It is worth noting that the rolling start was done in manual mode in the s5. I find my rolling starts to be really fast in dynamic S mode automatic.
Im sure it is imagined, but thought I would add this to the discussion.

When I bought my A3 the A5 wasn't out yet and it's a little bit out of my price bracket. Hoping to upgrade into a CPO A5 coupe next year but until then I'm going to only dream lol
