I really like it. I haven't had any issues with it.

I still like it a lot. My only gripe is that there is a slight delay when speaking (.5-1 seconds). Not horrible, but not great. Still better than pulling my phone out, plugging it in and having to remember to unplug and bring it with me. :-)

I also really like the wireless capabilities. I’d very likely rarely use CarPlay without it, certainly not on short trips around town. Too much hassle physically connected/disconnecting the phone. These wireless dongles solve that.

My only (very small) complaint is that CarPlay will always turn on and become the selected audio option each time the car is started. For example, if I’m listening to Satellite radio when the car is shut off, when then car is restarted, the MMI will switch to CarPlay rather than restart with Satellite radio. Hope that makes sense, it reads awkwardly to me. You’ll have to cut me some slack as its 2 AM here (hello insomnia). This is very minor issue for me, in particular as I almost always am listening to something via my iPhone.

ditto - wish the car would remember its last 'source'.

to be clear, I think the car would normally remember the last source. The wireless dongle and the way it auto connects to the associated phone triggers the MMI to switch to CarPlay. I suspect that this is how the MMI would behave if the phone were physically connected to the car. It seems to me the “problem” is with CarPlay and not so much with the wireless dongle.

My Wireless CarPlay continues to be nothing but problems. Dropping connection to the phone multiple times in a single drive. Cannot figure out a fix for it.

Anyone have this issue: I use a Bluetooth Speaker in the garage (Fugoo), connect it to my iPhone and begin to stream music. After one or two songs it will disconnect and try to connect to the car via CarPlay. It is super annoying, I need to go inside the car and unplug the CarPlay dongle to keep the Fugoo speaker connected and play music. Even if you shutoff CarPlay on the IPhone it will still try and connect a few minutes later and terminate the Fugoo speaker again.

There was a software update about 2 months back, did you install it and see if it fixes the problem?

My older JoyAuto dongle has been essentially bullet proof. Had a few occasional non connects, but, all in All reliable, for my usage.
don’t know about the newer models , or the Carlinkit.
sometimes cCarPlay comes up automatically, sometimes after the camera comes up, it doesn’t and needs to be chosen.
I’m very satisfied with its usage!!
