GIAC vs APR?

Just wondering which one is more reliable. I like the APR chip since it has the feature where you can switch between chipped and stock mode. However; I have a Tip and APR doesn't make a Tip Chip. GIAC does. Does anyone have either of them? Saw the thread posted below on the GIAC....a buddy of mine has it on his S4 and hasn't had any problems with it. Any inputs/ideas/ suggestions? Please let me know. Thanks!

yup I did.......but does it matter if you chip the car without a tip chip?

GIAC has a similar offering as APR coming out. APR is a good chip, but no tip..

I'd take the single GIAC failure noted below with a grain of salt

I don't doubt that he had a problem with his GIAC chipped ECU but things break from time to time. I'm sure you can find people with every make if chip that could relay a similar experience. I've never used a GIAC chip, only APR and Autothority on 1.8T's. I don't think you could really go wrong with either.
