Default Questions from AR Owner-To-Be
I am in the market for an '01 or '02 6 speed AR. Any differences between the two? Any problems or issues I should look for?

All advice appreciated,

i think the steering wheel shifter option was removed for 2002

Default The steering is different
The steering on the '01 is somewhat lighter than that on the '02, with the 02's being preferable to most people. It is however possible to tighten the steering a lot on the 01 by pulling out a particular relay (I think it is 608 - but there are numerous posts on this subject in the archives - so search for it), pretty much making this a non-issue.

Default The steering wheel shifter option is only for TIPs anyway...
and yes was only removed from the 2003 model as Itacud said.

Default Shift **** in '01 tip is wood, '02 and '03 is leather. (more)
Not sure about six speeds. 01' Tips don't have the sport mode. Also, I believe their may have been some changes in the heated steering wheel, but I might be mistaken.
