I got a "next generation" device.

What you buy depends on what you want it for. I'm mostly interested in observation, so I bought the minimum bundle. YYMV.
Worthwhile depends on what you want. This sort of tool gives you far more visibility into how the systems of the car work, clear errors, and also the ability to change some things. I would almost never clear an error, and only rarely would consider changing something.

This has been very well documented on many other models: not possible https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...hting-2912565/

Happened last night again. I held the key in my hand, and put it on a desk after returning home to test for inadvertent button presses.

Buy or borrow an ODBeleven.

DISABLE REAR LID OPENING WITH REMOTE KEY
- Disable opening of rear lid when double clicking the middle button on the remote key
- Alternatively set the value to "0.40 s" to keep the function, but only with rapid double click.
Adaptation
Control unit: 46 Central Module Comfort System
"Heckklappe öffnen durch Doppelbetätigung der Funkfernbedienung" = "Open the tailgate by double actuating the radio remote control"
I disabled it, 0.0 seconds. Seems to work. Lights flash when pushing the tailgate opening button on the key, but tailgate does not open.

my kick sensor is very dodgy and will often trigger when I'm standing working on something in the back with it open, etc...
It hasn't happened to me that it's opened when I'm not around... and it seems that I have to have my key on person to trigger it...but perhaps there's a fault in that system
