Boost Function Etron?
My main issues were the MMI bugs which were to be expected as an early adopter but the more frustrating part was Audi’s whole deny there’s a problem attitude. It took them a good 12 months to provide a software update but since then I’ve had another 3 applied in the last 3 months so seems they’re finally doing something to improve it and to be fair the number of MMI issues have decreased with every update. My Audi App is even more reliable contacting the vehicle within the last month.
I love the Audi brand and they make fine looking and good quality cars. Would I buy an e-Tron again? No, but not because of the car but because of the way Audi just played down the issues and made out they didn’t exist. They’re not a software company so be prepared to wait a long time to get bugs fixed
I feel sorry for the dealers as they’re on the front lines dealing with frustrated customers when in all honesty it’s the mothership causing all the problems by just not being upfront with its customers.
... but then, last week-end, somebody dragged me to a Lexus dealership. I looked around in disbelief at the pathetic tech, style, comfort and the shocking sticker prices. So I'm gonna shake my fist at the sky for a while longer and then I'll buy another Audi.
My father had a '84 Audi 4000 ages ago that needed a replacement transmission out of warranty. On a whim he sent a letter to AofA never expecting anything to come of it. Some time later a check arrived from AofA for the cost of the replacement.
And in our case the wife's TT had an ignition coil fail and catch fire 15k out of warranty. Not only did they replace all six coils, repair the wiring harness and reimburse us for the towing. This was after merely calling them once.
Mercedes, on the other hand, was far and away less responsive. We had an AMG with a dodgy satnav. It took eight visits, videos sent, hang ups by customer service and much wailing to get the dash unit replaced under warranty.

I’ve given up speaking to anyone regarding the continued software issues the car has and will just ride out my lease as software issues probably aren’t enough for a lemon law claim. I’ll never purchase another Audi again and will be glad to see the day I can just hand the pos back to them.
