MRC on GT3071 problem possibly identified
Disconnected my Knock Sensors and the car was a monster, no mis-fires/cut-out and gobs of power all the way up.
Of course this lasts for no more than 5mins before ECU goes into limp mode. Have to clear fault codes and reset.
Wish I'd thought of doing this on the dyno ... :-(
So it looks knock-control was my problem after all ... but maybe just timing in my mid-range because I never heard any pinging and high-end timing seemed to have lots of room for improvement.

If so that was done at the factory.
Actually since I reconnected them I haven't noticed any more cut-outs either...
Maybe wishfull thinking, but could have been bad connectors.

emre is right on this, hell they could just need replacing but running without them especially on a
stock bottom end is about as smart as putting your dick in a blender
