Default wow! what a difference new engine mounts can make... can do..

it is most certainly noticeable from engine start up, launching from 1st and shutdown.. It cured those annoying vibration. Driver side was easy and fairly accessible - just have to manuever getting the mounts in and out. The passenger side was the biotch since you have to remove a lot of stuff that's in the way. Not a fun side..

That is all..

Default I recommend the passenger side be changed when the turbo is done on higher mileage cars.

It won't ever be any easier to get to it...

unless you're Hap, Dave S, Brian W or Cody and you change turbos like normal folks change their underwear.

Default Have people just changed the drivers side, and waited on the passengers.

Does either side have a tendency for failing?

The passenger's side is more prone to fail. Heat from the turbo accelerates its demise.

Default So true.

i started with the pass side and as I was wiggling that thing to get it out, the bolt just came apart. rubber was all hardened up. It was that bad.

Default What did you have to remove on the pass. side?

Airbox I guess, but hopefully not turbo?

Default Re: What did you have to remove on the pass. side?

I removed the airbox top and bottom assembly to gain access to the top nut and from underneath, crossover pipe and turbo to xover hose. I also had to undo the starter wires/cable b/c it was on the way. Putting the pass side mount was a challenge for me which involved swearing and yelling which is not highly recommended .
