Q8 - OBDEleven

Unfortunately my OBDeleven is on the way back to Amazon. I tried earlier in the week to use the one-click 'apps'. None of them worked, receiving the 'check ignition and try again' error message. Yesterday I found online several adaptations that would accomplish the same things I initially wanted. None of them worked, at least before I gave up and quit trying. After 'applying' the adaptation I got the 'writing' message and the spinning ball. This went on for 15-20 minutes. I tried again, same result. Maybe I'm too impatient, but I would think it could write the change in less than 20 minutes. If anyone can get OBDeleven to work on a late-2023 build, I'd be happy to buy another, but so far I've had no luck.

Yes, it works on early 23 builds - Jan to August.
Does not work on late 23 builds - August onwards.
Apparently the way to distinguish between the two is if your car has the new advanced driver assistance display OBDeleven will Not work at this time.

You should be able to access this information from Audi’s Erwin site. A day subscription might be required. At the very least, any service advisor should be able to print out the Vehicle Specific Information sheet with a listing of all PR codes for your car. When we took delivery of our car, the usual PR stickers you would find in the trunk and the manual were still attached to their paper backings meaning they are typically attached to the car during dealer PDI. If yours aren’t floating around in your spare tire area or under the back seat anywhere, then unfortunately they might have been tossed during dealer prep. I would be VERY surprised if that happened though.

bummer, he can’t do it anymore.
This guy will decode your VIN for you. It’s how I got my sheet.

Update: Went on the Audi Erwin page and bought the day pass. The app is correct. I do have the
NI8 Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R166) with protection of vehicle diagnostic PVD2 control module.
So I’m not sure what’s going to happen.

Ok, so I got the dealership to email me my vehicle info sheet. Amongst the 202 different PR codes I found:
Code: NI8
Origin: L
Family: ECE
Description: Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with Protection of Vehicle Diagnostics PVD2 control module
There are no other NI* PR codes, just the NI8
Production date is Aug 22, 2023.
