Software Update Failed
Took my car in to get a new key fob programmed. Service said there is a software update for the Q8. Waited 2 hours and was told they will have to keep my car as the software failed to load. Gave me a loaner and said it may take til Saturday. Sucks!

Did they tell you what the update addresses?

They said there was an update for the OBD module. I just picked up the car and I swear it seems as though the throttle lag is completely gone. From low speeds or at a stop the car accelerates completely different than before.

Very interesting. I had my q8 in last week for 10k service. Asked them to check the firmware and software for engine/transmission. They said all (original) is up to date. Also said there were no updates of any kind for the vehicle. Put in a call to my SA regarding this post. No response yet.
