Hello, I'm retrofitting the MMI in my 2011 Audi A4 it currently has the 3G MMI with NAV. I'm swapping it out with a 3G+ MMI out of a 2013 I noticed that this unit has an extra plug that my current one does not have. So out of curiosity I pulled the top cover off the new unit to see where it went and found this module, I took it out to see if I could determine it's use. With no useful information on the unit itself I was wondering if you guys could aid me in what this component does? Thanks in advanced.

so the unit that gives Audi connect it's signal Then? Would the connection that plugs into that just be an antenna? Or to another module?

Yes fakra cable goes up to shark fin antenna.
