Bench testing a Symphony

Would it be possible to simply supply the radio with a 12V powersource to power up the radio and check security code ? I can get a radio from the breakers but they are not sure if they have the right security code for it.

I used a computer power supply

when bench testing my RNS-E and it worked fine.

Yes no problem, I use a battery jump start pack.
