Poor quality on CD Changer
Car's Audi A6 C6 '07, and today I discovered that the audio quality on the CD changer is poor. The sound resembles plugging in a normal source to a Phono input on a stereo amplifier. There are no intermittent interruptions or anything, it's just steadily crappy. Like 64 kbps MP3 file. The CDs are okay, tried several of them, all genuine. The problem is non-existent on radio.
Any ideas? It looks like some cable in the back could be improperly soldered, or some loose contact or sth. Hard to say. I don't have the service tool for removing the changer anyway…

Not hard at all - turns out it's a common manufacturing defect, but thanks for your interest. It's well described on the web. Tossed this thing out and threw an Audi Media Interface in.
