Default Detailing Guru's I need your help!

I'm trying to prep my car for my Zaino that's comming on monday.

My original plan was:

Dawn
claybar
Dawn
Compounding pad-3M Scratch and Swirl Mark Remover
Polishing Pad-3M Imperial Hand Glaze
Zaino treatment

However, I just started applying the Glaze (which isn't supposed to contain any oils or silicones) and it seems to be leaving a residue. I know that Zaino isn't supposed to have any oils or anything to be applied underneath it so I'm a bit frustraited.

I do, however, have a different product I think I can use instead to use the polishing pad with. 3M perfect-it III machine glaze (N. 0511311-05937)

Will this work?

TIA

Default I just did the full Menzerna suite (including glaze)...

...and I remember each step (including glaze) leaving a haze. UNLESS I used LOTS of microfiber towels to clean them off. Because I knew I had another step coming, I didn't worry about it too much until I got to the glaze. That was when I just went over it again with a new set of clean towels.

Default now I might be crazy here.....

but why bother with ANY glaze?

Prep the paint with a good SMR/polish and then do zaino. The point of glaze is to gloss the paint and zaino already does that plenty. The IHG is full of oils and I'm pretty sure that may cause bonding issues.

again... I might be nuts.

Default I think I'm just going to go through with the polishing pad and Scratch remover...

and buff with the finishing pad...

Default I had the same issue w/ the Menzerna suite but I used PS21 GEPC and...

...it took all the residue haze off very easily. Just apply it prior to the Zaino system.

Default I've heard of PS21, but what's "GEPC?" Also...

...do you know of any good links that describe the "Zaino System?" I've heard people praise it (with the qualify that it's at the very least "different" -- some would say more difficult), but don't know a lot about it.

Using "Search" now...

If I remember correctly, IHG is not needed because you used the SMR.
