Waterpump Leakage

Waterpump Leakage
Dealer quoted me $1,200 in replacing waterpump and changing timing belt at the same time. My 98 A4 has 105,000km. Is it the time about to have above job done?? Can I just replace the waterpump and leave the timing belt for now?? Anyone can suggest me a good shop with more reasonable price in Toronto?? Thanks!!

I don't know about price but at 105000km...
... I would say that the timing belt should be replaced if you are doing the water pump.
I have some leakage around my waterpump at 80000km although the dealer didn't find any leakage when they looked so they didn't change the water pump.

If you're in there anyways for water pump, definitely do timing belt
It's a no-brainer really. Belt & tensioner should be few hundred in parts depending on which engine you have. But the labour to get in there is quite a lot, best to kill two birds with one stone.
While you're in there look into doing the APR snub mount, $70CDN at JRP in Toronto, and the labour will be basically free since you're in there anyways.
