I am hoping to open a business account in the uk for a business that is BASED OUTSIDE OF UK.

so far, natwest and lloyds have turned me down.
reason being we are not based in the uk.


RBS and HSBC will have their business managers email me soon (hopefully).

anyone else that I should approach?

I don't know about off shore business' but they'd certainly be worth checking out.

Unlike the other banks who turned me down within minutes of talking, the personal accounts personel actually rang up and got me connected to one of international business managers.

I'm surprised that only one bank would do that though. I expected more from the other bankinh institutions.

Barclays used to have a reputation for very poor service. I think that gave them the wake up call.
