constructive criticism enclosed:
private parties should be able to sell used parts, period. monitor content for spam or abuse, and make sure the parts listed are in the classifieds and that a url to the classifieds is posted.
selling new parts and services should be monitored for spam abuse, and adding a (cheap) "premium" subscription to AW should allow the subscriber to post low volume offers for DIY help, advice, or small projects.
This would address many of the complaints that posters have CONSTANTLY harped on, and would have zero to none impact on advertisers.
I would like to also hear what the paying advertisers think about non-advertisers posting FS offers.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1254080.phtml</a

AW could save themselves a lot of grief if they re-worked the classifieds and offered "the premium" subscription that you suggest.
But if they did, where would all the drama come from?

I skim the classifieds all the time, but theres no real way to post pictures of items in the classifieds, and f/s postings like ebay tend to be faster and more impulsive.
Skimming through items on the classifieds, you have to email them, wait for a response, get the pictures, and than negate pricing with that person and you might not even be familiar with that person.
Seeing a post with a FS: in front of it from someone who you know in the forum is more comforting than some joe schmoe in the classifieds. People "usually" post up pictures of the items for sale completely simplifying the process.
There is a point where everyone and their mother post links to ebay auctions and I've done it myself if I see something good up there, and that gets annoying too.
People no matter what the ToU says are accustomed to being able to post private goods for sale in the forums, and people still do all the time even with the moderators of the car forums cracking down on it.
Theres no right answer, but a better answer would be less selfish than I dont want to sift through someones garage, becuase many, many of us do!
Sellers reputations and discussion forum scams, especially from some past experiences with N75 Race BPV's, would definately be considering more valid reasons.
