LCD in instrument cluster...
Have anyone ever managed to "hack" the code that drives the LCD (in the center of the cluster) used by the Audi radio, FIS etc. What I mean is if anyone have ever managed to "inject" other information to this LCD.
I'm sure the data bus that connects to the LCD's CPU unit to rather simple - what is harder, I assume, is to change the code to include yet another sceen of information...
I assume the basic principle is the same among different model/areas - my interest is for the Euro ´97 A4 B5 (2.8 5v engine) or the Euro ´02 A4 B6.
For the moment I'm in "collecting mode" - any technical info (e.g. diagrams, location of units etc) is welcome.
