Default Detonation damage in a '93 Eurovan 2.5L engine

Thought you guys would enjoy pictures of the damage cause by detonation, in the '93 Eurovan I'm working on. The heavily damaged piston is No.4 and the rest of the pistons look like the other piston I've shown. Looking down into the bores at the other pistons, the sides above the top ring were so erroded, you could actually see the top ring.

Default Wow...

Destroyed 2 lands, broke the secondary ring in half, melted the oil scraper to the piston, pitted the hell out of the head, and cracked the manifold??!? It scares me just looking at it.

Default Bought it that & the seller bought it as a lien sale, so there's no history

So it's all a guess at this point, but the head had very recently been off and the timing and serp belts were new, as were the plugs/cap/rotor/air filter.

My guess would be that someone did a timing belt job, got the cam timing off and then driving it around too advanced just started eating anything aluminum.
