scratched a RNS-E 2006 USA NAV DVD ... what do i do?

Default scratched a RNS-E 2006 USA NAV DVD ... what do i do?

hey i scratched my nav dvd, and i tried to reburn it but no luck ... can anyone burn or send the file? im in the boston area. thanks.

Default If you need to buy one, Scott @ Rival Motorsport can hook you up...

check out the Telematics forum for his contact info, and maybe for some more ideas. I am pretty sure the Nav disc is a dual layer disc, so it is not that simple of a burn.

Default & then download DVD decrypter and rip an image file

to your hard drive. Then burn the image with Alcohol 120% onto a new dual layer DVD.

After you use a disk doctor the read speed will decrease quite a bit.

Default You can also use toothpaste (not gel) or silver polish in outward strokes from the center

to help the scratch. I have done it with music cds before. It works the same way as polishing glass. Makes a ton of mini scratches and disperses the spectrum (i think). Then make an image and burn.

try spraying a little furniture polish (Pledge) on the disk... anything with wax will do.
