Default Once you're on 505 exit at Madison and take Hwy 16 north
It starts off a bit sleepy but eventually goes into Cache Creek Canyon with nice twisties and spectacular views. The road is in great condition. At the end turn right on Hwy 20 to get over to Williams, just 30 miles south of Willows.

Yes. They usually lock the gates at 6:00 sharp. There's *nothing* out there. Very safe.
