off of the 80 in the East Bay. I drive thru 80 all the time. Already have one ticket this year and can't afford to get another one. Will the V1 help? I know that if they use the airplane patrol it's not going to help (that's how I got the ticket earlier) but I wanted some feedback. I had a radar detector decades ago and I'm sure the technology has come a long way. Sia, I think you have one hardwired. Feedback? Thanks.

I do use mine frequently and have had my butt saved by it more than once.
My last ticket was by a CHP who eyeballed me while hiding in traffic. If you're a leadfoot like me, even with the detector, you still have to keep an eye out.

Radar used extensively in Albany, Kensington and El Cerrito
Careful driving up Marin in Albany, and any of the roads that parallel San Pablo through El Cerrito. The Arlington is radar heavy from Richmond all the way to Berkeley. Carlson in Richmond is also a frequent speed trap. The traffic density on that stretch of 80 is usually a little too dense for radar though
