Default Anyone from Staten Island have a VAG that would be willing to help out my mom?

I have a VAG-COM and I have helped out many AW'ers over the years, when I lived on Staten Island, and also when I moved to Brooklyn.

But now I am living in CT and don't get back to Staten Island too often. And I recently learned that my ISO-COM is not compatible with my new HP/Compaq notebook. :-(

Mom's car has an issue with the brake light indicator, and she has not had time to take it to the dealership to diagnose/fix it. So she's been driving my sister's car around for the past few weeks.
(When I was at her house last week I tried to plug in my VAG only to find that it won't work with my new computer.)
My sister has a Jetta. And now *it* is throwing a MIL indicator. And she's in a panic about it.

If somebody on Staten Island would be able to VAG both my mom's car and my sister's car, I would be very grateful, as I won't be there for at least another week or so (and I would have to carry my old computer to work with my ISO-COM.)

If you can help, please drop me an email.

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

I would be happy to help VAG your mom and sister's car. I live in Brooklyn and drive through SI every day to work in NJ. If you're interested, let me know via e-mail if some time next week works for you.

By the way, do you have a HP/Compaq tablet notebook or a notebook that does not have the 9-pin serial COM port? I have an IBM Thinkpad and originally used VAG-COM with it because it has a COM port. I also have a HP/Compaq tablet notebook which does not have a COM port. I got a COM-to-USB adapter that plugs into the USB port. The VAG cable plugs into the adapter so that the VAG software would work. Hope that helps.

Danny
