Default NYC to Stowe, VT, where are the Police?

Route is WSH to Cross County to Merritt to 91 to 89, any particular places to be careful? I don't have the patience to go thru every town on speedtrap.org.

Default When I go to see my parents (who live in Stowe), I take the thruway...

up to the Northway, off exit 20, 149 to 4, 4 to 22A, 22A to 7 into Burlington, then 89 to Stowe. Only road you really need to worry about is the thruway.

BTW, it's Antarctica-cold up there right now. Mom says daytime temps have been close to 0 and well into the sub-zero range overnight.

Default Why would you go all the way up to Burlington then back down to stowe?......

There has got to be a quicker way than that, I grew up accross the lake in Plattsburgh and lived in Burlington for a year and 1/2. It seems like there must be a quicker way than backtracking from Burlington.

Default Because I live in North Jersey, right off 287....

Going any other way involves too many slow roads. I've tried every option, and the way I go is faster by at least 30 minutes then every other option. The slowest speed limit you'll find the whole way up is 50mph. Plus, from Burlington the ride to Stowe is short.

if your going to take the thruway watch out around the Kingston exit. They like the hide right under the overpass behined a barrier. You cant see them until you pass them. Also there is a spot right between the Kingston and New Paltz exit where they are alot. I usually see 1-2 cars pulled over there.

Default Thruway is 100 miles of Road Rage

A simple pass turns into a 100 mile long pissing contest plus traffic is MUCH heavier b/c of everyone headling to Huntah and VT. the Merritt to 91 route is so much better.
