Default APR exhuast vs. Borla pros and cons

Is APRs exhuast really worth the $899 vs the $599 they sell the Borla for and the $429 that AWE sells it for? I will be in the market for one soon and need some feedback on this subject.
Thanks,
Chris

Default I kinda doubt the extra 1/2" in diameter...

Is going to equate into any measurable hp difference in a car with the K03 or K04 turbo. Maybe with the APR stage 3 that extra 1/2 inch will turn into 5-10 more hp...

I say just save the cash. Even with it on sale for $799 that's $350 more than the Borla is from Summit Racing. That's alot of cash!

Default Re: I'm going Stage 3 eventually - don't want to have to upgrade when I do.

While it is debatable if the extra 1/2" will result in an increase of usable horsepower, it will result in bettter throttle response as back pressure will be reduced.

I would be interested to know how much louder either of these sytems is over OEM.

Default OEM is dead silent (m)

My APR exhaust is no louder than the wind noise at 75mph. You still notice it over stock, but it is very quiet.

Default Even with Stage 3 I still think the extra 1/2" will give little hp gains...

I just can't rationalize spending the $350 (with APR's sale price) more for the APR than the Borla. If it gives you an additional 7 hp with the stage 3 kit great, but that's not enough for me to justify the extra $$.

Default I noticed a definite performance decrease going from Borla 2.50" to Borla 2.25"...

I do not have any dyno results, and doubt that power was affected that much, but throttle response definitely was. With the 2.5" pipe, the car would "leap" to life if I gave it throttle. With the smaller exhaust, the effect is nowhere near as dramatic, and power comes on a bit more guadually than before. I was surprised to notice such a difference, but the difference is there..
