how long should it take a shop to install a UUC short shifter?

Default If they've done it before in the same type of car, I would say less than 1.5 hours.
A buddy and me put mine in my A4. It took us about 2.5 hours. That included checking AW on more than one occasion to figure out how to remove the center console...

I've put in 4 in S4's, takes me about 40min. Gotta have the right tools, though.

Absolutely right...I think we spent 30 minutes trying to get the circlip off without circlip pliers.
