i hate DBW......
it just makes everything so damn difficult 
anyone ever converted to non-DBW?? (prob not)
sometimes i envy those damn civics/integras and thier OBD-I easy-as-pie motor swaps. grrrr

I remember reading about a conversion from DBW on the vwvortex forums once...
It was from a rally prep company and involved a new ecu, throttle body etc. I think it was about $1500. Ask about it on the 1.8t forum over there and they'll point you in the right direction.
