Default installed an intake and (surprising)

yes it all work...i was told i was going to have higher intake temps but to my surprise they are actually much lower...i logged temps between 8-10 (C) when the car was moving, peaked to about 11 when the car stopped, but not what i imagined...ambient temp was around 0...now if i just had MAF readings from a stock air box to compair with...i do have to re-lemmiwink the fueling is a little lean (possibly a result or the new intake, i think it was a little rich before)...thats my 2c on intakes

Default Why would someone tell U intake temps would be higher

And R you talking about a cold air or an intake mani. I can see a badly designed cold air maybe bringing up intake temp, but I dont think even a bad manifild would do much to bringair temps up. Maybe slow air down. You can always use heat wrap on the cold air. I dont see how it could be that bad if you halfway knew how to do one?

Seems that would be from where you were getting air?

Default Try to get the same results in 30*+ C summer heat after driving the car for an hour! ;-)

You do not realize how much more heat the engine radiates in summer versus winter--it's simply amazing what each 5*C will do.
