installed an intake and (surprising)
yes it all work...i was told i was going to have higher intake temps but to my surprise they are actually much lower...i logged temps between 8-10 (C) when the car was moving, peaked to about 11 when the car stopped, but not what i imagined...ambient temp was around 0...now if i just had MAF readings from a stock air box to compair with...i do have to re-lemmiwink the fueling is a little lean (possibly a result or the new intake, i think it was a little rich before)...thats my 2c on intakes

Why would someone tell U intake temps would be higher
And R you talking about a cold air or an intake mani. I can see a badly designed cold air maybe bringing up intake temp, but I dont think even a bad manifild would do much to bringair temps up. Maybe slow air down. You can always use heat wrap on the cold air. I dont see how it could be that bad if you halfway knew how to do one?

Try to get the same results in 30*+ C summer heat after driving the car for an hour! ;-)
You do not realize how much more heat the engine radiates in summer versus winter--it's simply amazing what each 5*C will do.
