Mod noob questions (snub mount, REVO/chipping)...
What is a snub mount? What does it do? What do you recommend?
Revo..is it vaporware or will it be out for B6 1.8t (tiptronic)? I assume it will be better because it's software based and not hardware based so I wouldn't void warranty?? Need more torque (for faster 0-60) and passing power.
MTM, local dealer install perf. parts from them, do they make good products?
thanks

Snub mount is the very front-most mount on your engine. The early Audi's had one that didn't do much good. Once the 12v was introduced, it actually worked as intended, which is to limit motion, either forward or left/right. I think that they also limit the engine from rocking up too much as well (going from memory).
Revo, no idea, I drive a B3 quattro with a 5cyl so I don't always pay attention to the newer stuff ;-)
MTM has been doing Audi stuff for a looong time. Motoren Technik Meyer or something like that. Founders, as well as Jo Hoppen, were Audi Sport people IIRC. Hoppen was, I think, the person in charge of the North American program that ran the TransAm and IMSA GTo cars.
