so how exactly does the vag read torque?
Just wanted to see if it made a difference that I did my testing while going up hill, and around a turn..

Calculated based on airflow + engine speed I think
There was a discussion on this a while back, no one knew exactly how then, but the leading hypotheis was based on airflow vs engine speed, maybe timing as well.

So, the way I did the testing was probably wrong since I screwed with the rate
of acceleration of the car? If this is true look out, Im going to do some tests in the other direction down my big hill..

It isn't an accurate test.
IMHO, it's only good for seeing if and intake/exhaust mod has improved performance. Test in "Stock" mode, do the mod and then retest. The difference between the two tests will give you an indication of how good the mod is.
Again, I don't think the #'s are good enough on their own, but they should be OK for qualitative tests. It would be nice if modified and unmodified cars would do a log during their dyno runs and compare...
