Default Stock Audi A4 with Plans and Questions...

I've looked into countless parts and people's specs but I can't make my decision completely does anyone have any advice for this combination?

Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T Sport / Cold / Premium 2004
Manual, 6 Speed

-Remus Cat Back Exhaust
-K&M / DMT Filter
-TT 225 BPV
-Neuspeed or APR ECU Mod (Not sure here, about factory experiences: the APR seems superior, but budget issues)
-Neuspeed Snub Mount
-Is there an affordable performance intercooler out there for an Audi? The cheapest I have found is 700$
There are other mods I would like to do subsequent to these, this is just what I can afford in the time being, what are the problems/suggestions anyone has for me?

Thank you

Default $700 is about as cheap as your going to get for a FMIC that includes

IC pipes, brakets, hoses and clamps. If anything that is pretty cheap, but going cheap on this part is not always the right way to go since some use cores that are too large for the stock K03 turbo.

So the intercooler is just a must spend 700$ basically? Would a stock TT 225 intercooler be a cheap option for the time being?
With the Remus exhaust 300$ package, do I require an additional downpipe?
Is there anywhere that compares the Neuspeed ECU to either TAP AWE or APR?

Default If your looking to just upgrade the side mount intercooler

then you would want to look at installing the one from the RS4. You can do a search here on those chips but I would skip the one from TAP. Neuspeed would have the least amount of power gained. AWE which is a GIAC chip is one of the more aggressive chips. Then you have APR which has 2 different stages for the B6 and then you have REVO.
