Are there any recurring problems with the SS on 2019s ? My son found one he like at a local dealer. SS was inop, salesperson told us it had to be driven until it reached operating temp to work. We walked, the car was warm.

There are restrictions on when S/S will engage. If it just engaged recently, it wont engage gain for a minute or so. When it's not available you will see a grey'd out A on the dashboard. I'm sure there are other rules that it uses to determine if S/S will be efficient for a given situation.

Thanks. Three days earlier we drove a 2019 for the first time. Every time we came to a stop the engine would stop and start correctly. This time under no circumstances would it shut down at a stop. The activate/deactivate switch position had no effect
although it registered on the dash what mode it was in.
Salesperson didn’t really have a clue why it wasn’t working.

Glad to hear they resolved it. I hate that Start/Stuff stop. I disable it as soon as I get in any car (if I can).

Most frustrating for me is that when I stop at a traffic light, foot on the brake pedal, the engine stops but then in less than a second starts again. My foot has not moved at all
