More updates...
Updates to the 2013 Q5's gasoline engines start with a massage for its 2.0-liter turbo-four, which now puts out 225 hp and 258 lb-ft compared with the current engine's 211 hp and 258 lb-ft. As expected, the 3.2-liter V-6 is going away. Coming to take its place is Audi's supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 rated at 272 hp and 295 lb-ft.
---- Looks like only a small bump in hp for the 2.0T (211 to 225) with same torque. 3.2 vs 3.0t, only up 2 in hp but up 52 lb-ft in torque.
We've always considered the Q5's chassis to be nicely balanced and lively, and Audi has left the suspension untouched with this refresh, but it did add a new electric power steering system in an effort to further improve road feel.
---I hope they don't sc*** up the steering.
Gasoline and hybrid versions of the 2013 Q5 are set to arrive in Audi dealers this fall, with the diesel scheduled to go on sale sometime next year.
--- Fall...that is really far off.

Another one...
http://www.automobilemag.com/feature..._2013_audi_q5/
Volkswagen's ubiquitous direct-injection, turbocharged, 2.0-liter I-4 remains the entry-level engine, but a few revisions for the new model year -- including a new cylinder head that incorporates the exhaust manifold -- help improve efficiency. Power is also improved, as Audi rates the engine at 225 hp -- an increase of 14 hp -- while torque remains unchanged at 258 lb-ft.
Both models should arrive at U.S. dealers in the fall of 2012, but the 2013 Q5 TDI and Q5 Hybrid models won't reach our market until later in 2013. Pricing for either model is unavailable at this time, but expect Q5 Hybrid volumes to be quite limited. Audi plans on selling only 500 examples each year -- roughly three percent of all Q5 sales in 2011.

I'm glad they reshaped the cargo hold and included a track/retainer system.
I can't understand why the 2.0T engine improvements don't apply to the A4 and allroad.
I'm disappointing in the base price of the 3.0T (est $44k). I'm assuming it includes the Premium Plus equipment, but I'd happily forgo some bells and whistles to get the more potent engine.

Also, fall...it seems too long of a wait.

I think Audi is sandbagging the numbers. They are leaving hp room for the S version. The engineers take it to the marketing people who make the ultimate decision on what numbers to release. I'll bet the Q5S get released with the 333 hp version.
