Default Do Q5 engines burm oil?

I am seriously considering a Q5. But I heard lots of Audi cars have engine oil consumption issue. Some one has to refill 1qt per 2k miles. That's horrible. How many people here have this issue on Q5?

I was wondering the same thing. I am on the fence with getting a 2.0T premium plus, but don't know if the oil consumption issue is just blown out of proportion or if it's a reason not to get an Audi.

Older versions of the 2.0T are notorious for consuming oil. But, the 2.0T in the Q5 is not the same engine as in previous applications. I've heard of some oil consumption with the Q5 2.0, but I haven't seen any posts complaining of "excessive" consumption. This isn't stopping me from purchasing a 2.0T. If you are looking at the 3.0T, I have also seen no issues with excessive consumption. In the case of my S4 (3.0T), the engine uses about 1L every 10-12k km. I'd prefer if it burnt less than that, but it wouldn't have stopped me from buying the car.

Closing in on our second oil change (13k+ miles), we have yet to add a drop of oil to our 2.0T.

I am about 8500 miles (13,500 total) into the second oil change interval and just added about 1/4 of a quart to keep it at the full mark.

My 3.2L consumes oil at a rate that is undetectable between oil changes. I would go so far as to say it uses none.

Now this isn't normal. I'd have the dealer look into this if your burning this much oil.

I agree on the 3.2, 55,000 mi never burned a drop that I can detect.

We have bout 38k on our 11' 2.0T and I need to add about 3/4qrt every 2500 miles. I do my own oil changes every 5k miles.
The Q5 is driven mostly highway as you can tell by the mileage.
