If your car is under any sort of Audi warranty (CPO, etc.) I'd get it fixed otherwise I'd sell the car as it's only going to get worse from what I've read. I guess you can try the following if it's paid off and you just don't care - 1) run some Seafoam through your engine and see if it will unstick the rings 2) experiment with different oils 3) just drive it and keep a jug of oil in the trunk (#AudiLife).
What do you disclose when you sell the car with regards to oil consumption? Is Audi buy back really the only/best option for me? Thanks!

if you trade the car in to a dealer you don't tell them anything. if you sold personally to an enthusiast it might be a different story. these cars burn oil and some more than others, it's a pretty well known fact but most of the time is not at an alarming rate...

Don't say anything if you sell to a dealer as they would never disclose it anyway if the shoe were on the other foot. I would make the buyer aware if you sell it private party. Not sure what you mean by Audi buy back?

Thanks for your reply. I mean trade in to an Audi dealership; although I am reluctant now to purchase another Audi. How about sites like Carvana? Do you know if this information/repair history need to be disclosed when selling to online site?

How about sites like Caravan? I am thinking once I tell them the oil separator and spark plugs were replaced it would lead to more questions; however, I am pretty sure I am going to take a big loss anyway!

Carvana, etc. won't ask about oil consumption being disclosed. They want to know if it's been in an accident, hail damage, etc.

don’t tell them a damn thing is wrong with it. They won’t care about the latest maintenance. Unload it to carvana, CarMax, etc and move on

Thank you for your advice. Just curious, how did you resolve your issue? Did you get another car?

Just curious, were you able to resolve your issue? I have a 2017 Q7 3.0 56k miles that is consuming a lot of oil recently.

How is your car running now? Did they replace the piston and rings? I have the same problem. 2017 Q7 3.0 56k miles.
