Buying advice...please!
Hello! I am new to the forum and this is possibly going to be my first Audi. I am a huge Lexus guy and am active on the ClubLexus forum, currently owning a GS 350 fsport and my wife drives a GX 460. However, the GX is outdated and the Q7 has caught my eye big time. Going to look at a 2018 premium plus model on Sunday and wanted to see what input I could get from some current owners. Likes/dislikes, common issues, etc One particular reason I have been loyal to Lexus is simply the reliability. I am hoping to hang onto the Q7 for quite awhile, 100k+ miles. Is that a reasonable expectation or a pipe dream? Thanks for any input and if the deal goes through Sunday, I look forward to being an active member here on Audi World!

Reliability is one's perspective, my '05 Toyota 4Runner was plagued by rust, tech in that SUV was so minimal that there was nothing to go wrong. Usual maintenance and multiple rotors, brake pad changes over $112k mile of its life. It served me very well and finally traded that for Q7 as family SUV. So is my current Lexus ES 350 premium+, bought brand new in 2007, now at 158k still running like champ. But had to replace O2 sensors, TPMS, wheel hubs/bearings, three time spark plugs and coils, multiple brake jobs, exhaust assembly etc. I love my brand new Mercedes Benz E400 4Matic Coupe from '17 with 329hp turbo motor - very responsive and engaging driving. Regular maintenance and no issues still at 27k miles.
Q7 currently running at 70k and is as solid as rock with zero squeaks or rattles, ultra smooth ride even with 21" RFTs. I am amazed how solid the vehicle was built compared other vehicles and feels another level up from Lexus. As this one is equipped with many sensors and electronics, software glitches and communication with sensors may be the one look for.
see post#127 below for some pics of my Q7 with winter wheels (I know I posted this link already two times in other discussions :-))
