The first step in the OBD11 Android app is to connect to the dongle. So you pretty much can't do anything with it until you have the dongle. Make sure you get the Pro version, which is the only one that Deutsch Auto sells, I believe. Also, your Android will need to have an active internet connection, or you can't do anything.
Terminology: "apps" are little code sequences that run within the OBD11 Android App. You buy them with credits which you can earn by viewing ads, or purchase from OBD11. There are only very few apps for the 17 Q7. Last I knew, VIM (video in motion) was the only one. But apps are not needed for most of the tweeks that you read about here.
#1 can be done with an adaptation in OBD11 (no app purchase required)
#2: people have been trying to find a way, no luck so far
#3: I've been trying to find a way to do this and have not been successful

It is a demo mode but can be enabled in without credits in central electrics coding.

Correct, number 2 is a no go, normally you could adjust if it resets on ignition off as well as set the speed threshold but not in our case, number 3 will be a no go most likely too (as you know)

Sorry to bump something so old but it popped up on Google while searching. In obdeleven you go to Central electric, adaptation, and then scroll down to Presentation mode multicolor ambient and contour light. You cant control it from MMI. It cycles through colors.
*edit* It turns off after you turn off the car.
